Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Zuri Trails. These Terms and Conditions govern all bookings, tours, safaris, mountain expeditions, beach holidays, cultural tours, and other travel services offered by Zuri Trails. By booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
1. About Zuri Trails
Zuri Trails is a professional tour operator specializing in wildlife safaris, mountain trekking, beach holidays, cultural experiences, and tailor-made travel packages across Tanzania and East Africa.
We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and memorable travel experiences while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms apply when:
- You make a booking directly with Zuri Trails.
- You book through an authorized travel agent or partner.
- You make payments toward any of our travel packages.
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
3. Booking Process
Bookings may be made through:
- Our website
- Telephone
- Authorized travel partners
A booking is considered confirmed only after:
- We issue a booking confirmation.
- The required deposit has been received.
Until payment is received, reservations remain subject to availability.
4. Payments
A deposit is required to confirm every booking.
Unless otherwise agreed:
- Full payment must be completed at least 30 days before arrival.
- Bookings made within 30 days of departure require full payment immediately.
Payments may be made via:
- Bank Transfer
- Credit/Debit Card
- Online Payment Gateway
- Other approved payment methods
Bank charges, transfer fees, and payment processing fees are the responsibility of the client.
5. Prices
All prices are quoted in the currency specified in your quotation.
Prices include only the services listed in your itinerary.
Prices may change before confirmation due to:
- Government taxes
- Park fee revisions
- Fuel surcharges
- Currency fluctuations
- Airline increases
Once your booking has been confirmed and fully paid, prices will not change except where government authorities introduce mandatory increases beyond our control.
6. Travel Documents
Guests are responsible for ensuring they possess:
- A valid passport
- Appropriate visas
- Vaccination certificates where required
- Travel insurance
- Any other required travel documentation
Zuri Trails is not responsible for denied boarding or entry due to incomplete documentation.
7. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should include coverage for:
- Trip cancellation
- Medical expenses
- Emergency evacuation
- Personal accidents
- Lost baggage
- Flight delays
- Personal liability
Clients are responsible for arranging their insurance before travel.
8. Health and Fitness
Guests must ensure they are physically fit for their selected activities.
Certain tours—including mountain climbing and trekking—require good physical condition.
Clients should disclose:
- Medical conditions
- Allergies
- Dietary requirements
- Disabilities
- Any condition that may affect participation
Failure to disclose relevant medical information may result in refusal of participation without refund if safety is compromised.
9. Special Requests
We will do our best to accommodate the following:
- Vegetarian meals
- Vegan meals
- Religious dietary requirements
- Honeymoon arrangements
- Birthday celebrations
- Accessibility requests
However, these requests cannot always be guaranteed.
10. Changes by the Client
Clients may request changes to:
- Travel dates
- Accommodation
- Activities
- Number of participants
Changes are subject to:
- Availability
- Supplier approval
- Additional costs where applicable
Administrative fees may apply.
11. Changes by Zuri Trails
Occasionally, circumstances beyond our control may require changes to itineraries, including:
- Weather conditions
- Road closures
- National park regulations
- Flight schedule changes
- Safety concerns
Where possible, we will provide comparable alternatives.
12. Cancellations by the Client
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing.
Cancellation charges are:

| 15–30 days | 25% refund |
| Less than 14 days | No refund |
| No-show | No refund |
Certain flights, hotels, permits, and park fees may be non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
13. Cancellation by Zuri Trails
If we cancel your tour due to reasons within our control, you may choose:
- A full refund, or
- Rescheduling to a future available date.
We are not liable for indirect expenses such as:
- Flights
- Hotel bookings outside the itinerary
- Visa costs
- Personal purchases
14. Force Majeure
Zuri Trails shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or failure to perform services caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Floods
- Earthquakes
- Epidemics
- Pandemics
- Government restrictions
- Political unrest
- Terrorism
- Airline strikes
- Civil disturbances
Where possible, we will assist in rearranging travel.
15. Wildlife Viewing
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
Animals move freely within national parks and reserves, making every safari unique.
16. Mountain Climbing
For mountain expeditions:
- Guides have full authority regarding safety decisions.
- Summit attempts may be cancelled if weather or health conditions present unacceptable risks.
- Clients must follow all guide instructions.
Safety always takes priority over reaching the summit.
17. Accommodation
Hotels and lodges are subject to availability.
If a booked property becomes unavailable, Zuri Trails reserves the right to provide accommodation of a similar or higher standard.
18. Transportation
Transport is provided using professionally maintained safari vehicles and other approved means of transport.
Delays may occur due to:
- Traffic
- Mechanical issues
- Weather
- Road conditions
Reasonable efforts will be made to minimize disruption.
19. Client Responsibilities
Clients agree to:
- Respect local laws and customs.
- Follow guide instructions.
- Respect wildlife and the environment.
- Treat staff and fellow travelers respectfully.
- Avoid dangerous or illegal behavior.
Any costs arising from a client’s misconduct shall be the client’s responsibility.
20. Liability
Zuri Trails acts as a tour operator coordinating services provided by hotels, airlines, transport providers, parks, and other suppliers.
While we exercise reasonable care in selecting our partners, we shall not be liable for losses arising from the acts, omissions, or defaults of independent third-party service providers.
Our liability is limited to the value of the travel services booked with us, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
21. Photography and Marketing
During tours, we may take photographs or videos for promotional purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in marketing materials, please notify us in writing before your tour begins.
22. Privacy
We collect personal information solely for the purpose of planning and delivering your travel services.
Your information may be shared with:
- Hotels
- National parks
- Transport providers
- Government authorities where legally required
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
23. Intellectual Property
All content on the Zuri Trails website, including:
- Logos
- Images
- Text
- Videos
- Graphics
is the property of Zuri Trails or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or distributed without prior written permission.
24. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tanzania.
